Dr. Jamal Ahmed Rashid, also known as Dr. Jamal, was born in 1945 in the city of Sulaymaniyah. Dr. Jamal was a well known pediatrician in Iraq specially in the city of Sulaymaniyah. In 1969 he completed medical college and became practitioner doctor in 1971. In 1982 he continued his studies. Dr. Jamal served for 47 years. He dedicated his life to treat children’s in needs. He used to treated 200 to 300 child a day. On July 1, 2015, Dr. Jamal retired, but he continued to service as volunteer. On September 4, 2018 Dr. Jamal died of illness in Germany and was buried in Saiwan hill in Sulaymaniyah after being brought back to his homeland.
